Landscape Artist Of The Year Application Form

Landscape Artist of the Year is changing!

For the next series, we’ll select ten artists to take on landscape challenges across the country, returning week after week to create work in new locations. Each episode will see one artist eliminated, giving those who progress the chance to create multiple works and develop their practice over time. More locations mean more time in the pods, greater opportunity to refine your approach, and a fuller chance to show the range and consistency of your work. By following the same artists throughout the series, ideas can evolve and the quality of the work can build.

If you want to take part in the show, you’ll need to confirm that you are available for seven filming dates on weekdays in June and July, plus one in September.

If you apply, your work will be evaluated by prominent judges from the art world. If you are selected to participate in the show, you will receive £500 for each episode you appear in, along with travel, accommodation, and meals/per diems arranged directly by Storyvault Films. Additionally, the winner will be awarded a £10,000 commission. 

To apply, complete and submit this application form and upload a recent example of your work that you feel tells us something about you and your practice. You’ll also need to provide two additional artworks, plus a short video of yourself recorded on your phone. Before You Begin – APPLICATION TIPS

Please ensure you have read the T and Cs carefully to confirm that you are eligible to apply.

You do not need to complete the application in one sitting. You can save your progress and return to it at any time by following the link you are sent on registration. Remember to click SAVE as you go to make sure your information is stored.

Please submit applications by Monday 23rd March 2026 (please note that this date may be subject to change).

Only applicants who progress to the next stage will be contacted by a member of the production team. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide individual feedback.

About You and Your Artwork

We’re looking for artists who are passionate about landscape art and happy to share their creative process. You don’t need to be a great writer in your application— just be honest and clear. Tell us what landscapes you love to paint, what materials you love to use, and what excites you about capturing landscapes.

Please include images of your artwork that best represent you as an artist. These may be in any medium but please note we do not accept digital artworks.

Please also include a recent photograph of yourself.

Please upload a short video (up to one minute) introducing yourself and your art. You might like to tell us about a landscape or view you’ve loved painting, a material or medium you particularly enjoy working with, or how you came to be an artist — but feel free to make it your own.

This video helps us get a genuine sense of your personality, creative approach, and passion for landscape art. There’s no need to overthink it — we simply want to see you being yourself.
