APPLICATION TIPS

Here are some tips on how to fill out the application form:

• First, read the Rules of Entry to ensure that you are eligible to apply.
• You don’t have to complete the application all at once. You can return to it at any point by following the link in the e-mail we will send you and logging in. Remember to hit SAVE to save your answers as you go.
• If you are completing this application on behalf of someone else, you must obtain their permission prior to submitting the application and all permissions and consents contained within the application must be given by the applicant themselves.
• You can only apply once to each series of the programme and therefore must only set up one log in. If we consider that you have sent us more than one application (per series of the programme), Love Productions may decide not to consider you to take part in the programme.
• The closing date for applications is 12.00 (midday) on Monday 14th April 2025 (although please note that we may change this date). Fill out your application form sooner rather than later. Please do not leave it until the closing date.
• We’re looking for people with a real passion for clay. Don’t worry if you’re not a great writer, just tell us as much as you can about you and your pottery. We want to hear what you’re good at, but also what you’re not so good at. We’re not expecting you to be brilliant at everything; this just helps us to get a clearer idea of what kind of potter you are.
• We want to see your pots! Please include a range of AT LEAST 5 photos of different pieces to show off your ceramic repertoire. Please include a range of disciplines if possible, throwing, hand building, sculpting, decoration, and pieces that showcase a variety of scale. Don’t worry if you don’t have examples of all of these. 
• Please include a recent photograph of yourself. 
• You will also have the option to upload a video clip of yourself of up to 1 minute.
• Only people who have made it to the next round will be contacted by a member of the production team. Due to the large number of applications we receive, we are unable to give individual feedback or deal with individual queries. If you have not heard from us by Friday 13th June 2025, then unfortunately your application has not been successful.
• All applications received before the deadline will be read.
• When selecting applicants for the Programme, we will, amongst other factors, take into account: skill, enthusiasm, drive and love of pottery. We are looking for people who are passionate about clay and that are comfortable being filmed. Initial selection will be based on the application forms and telephone interviews. In addition, we may invite shortlisted applicants to an audition at our discretion. Auditions will either take place remotely or in person. We will be looking for a mix of potters to reflect the range in age, location, gender and diversity of home potters in the UK.
